WHO Puji BTS Pakai Bahasa Isyarat di Lagu Permission to Dance

Lagu baru BTS berjudul Permission to Dance kembali mencuri banyak perhatian, termasuk soal ide mereka dalam menyertakan bahasa isyarat dalam koreografinya. Tak hanya fans, Dirjen WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, bahkan ikut berkomentar dan memuji BTS atas penggunaan bahasa isyarat tersebut. Hal itu disampaikan melalui akun Twitter resminya.

"Terima kasih @BTS_twt karena telah menyertakan bahasa isyarat di video musik #PermissiontoDance. Sebanyak 1,5 miliar orang di dunia mengalami gangguan pendengaran. Bahasa isyarat dapat membantu mereka menikmati musik yang membawa kebahagiaan dalam hidup," ungkap Tedros.

Bahasa Isyarat Ide Koreografi Dadakan

Dalam siaran V Live, RM (rapper monster) menjelaskan tentang penggunaan bahasa isyarat dalam koreografi lagu Permission to Dance. Ide tersebut muncul secara tiba-tiba ketika para member BTS berbagi ide dalam diskusi saat mempersiapkan comeback.

"Ide menggunakan bahasa isyarat tiba-tiba muncul. Kami menyadari kalau kami belum pernah mempertimbangkan hal ini sebelumnya. Jadi akhirnya kami mencobanya untuk koreografi Permission to Dance," ujar RM.

"Kami mendengar banyak respons dari publik yang mengaku tersentuh dengan apa yang kami kerjakan. Jadi rasanya luar biasa," pungkasnya.

Rekor BTS

Di sisi lain, BTS kembali mencetak rekor baru setelah merilis CD Butter. Berdasarkan data dari Hanteo Chart, CD tersebut terjual 1.975.364 kopi di pekan pertama. Menurut data, CD Butter merupakan penjualan album tertinggi yang dirilis pada 2021. Angka tersebut juga merupakan penjualan tertinggi keempat di pekan pertama sepanjang sejarah Hanteo Chart.

Keempat rekor tersebut dipegang oleh BTS lewat penjualan 4 albumnya, yaitu BTS: Map of the Soul: 7 (3,370,000), BE (2,270,000), Map of the Soul: Persona (2,130,000), dan Butter.

Selain itu, masih berdasarkan data Hanteo Chart, CD Butter terjual sebanyak 1.711.870 kopi di hari pertama perilisan. BTS merupakan satu-satunya artis yang berhasil menjual lebih dari 1 juta kopi di hari pertama perilisan.

Selain itu, BTS juga masih bertahan di posisi atas Billboard Hot 100. RM dkk sukses mengalahkan musisi Amerika Serikat.
