November Rain, Lagu Guns N' Roses Trending Topik
Tanggal 1 November sebagian daerah di Tanah Air disuguhi hujan. Bahkan Ibu Kota Jakarta kebanjiran. Hal ini lantas mengingatkan netizen dengan lagu lawas grup band rock Guns N' Roses (GNR). Lagu November Rain pun menjadi trending topik Twitter hari ini.
Seperti cuitan akun @_imapo, “Sudah masuk waktu Indonesia nyetel November Rain.”
Ada pula cuitan dari netizen yang lain, @rezakojak, “Lagi hujan dengerin November Rain. Syahdu".
“Awal November ujan deres. Kirain gua sndiri yg langsung inget lagu November Rain. Taunya uda viral aowkwkwk,” cuit akun @nggaktuman.
Ada juga yang mengaku belum kebagian hujan, seperti yang dicuitkan pengguna di Surabaya, @wwildaany, “Mo nyetel November rain - guns N’ roses tpi sby ngga rain rain juga”.
“Putar music di spotify share ke Insta Story lagunya November Rain orang-orang,” kata akun @kitting420.
Dikutip dari mtvnews.com, Axl Rose, mulai menggarap lagu ini sejak 1983, sebelum dia bergabung menjadi vokalis Guns N' Roses. Versi demonya, yang hanya menampilkan Axl dengan piano dirampungkan tahun 1986 dalam sebuah sesi di Sound City, ketika Guns N' Roses mengerjakan Appetite for Destruction, album debut yang meluncur ke publik pada 21 Juli 1987.
Namun, lagu November Rain resmi dirilis dalam album studio ketiga, “Use Your Illussion I, pada September 1991. Axl dan Guns N' Roses kemudian menjadikan lagu ini sebagai andalan pada setiap konsernya. Video musiknya telah ditonton lebih dari 1,7 miliar orang.
Saat video itu pertama kali ditayangkan di MTV pada 1992, video lagu tersebut dicatat sebagai video musik dengan biaya termahal. Menurut laporan MTV, biayanya sekitar 1,5 juta dolar AS.
Video musik tersebut menggambarkan adegan pernikahan Axl Rose dengan perempuan yang diperankan oleh Stephanie Seymour, seorang model di sebuah kapel. Video November Rain disutradarai oleh Andy Morahan. Dia juga menyutradarai dua klip video Guns N' Roses, Don’t Cry dan Estranged. Sejumlah video klip bintang lain yang dikerjakan Morahan termasuk video Michael Jackson, George Michael, Bryan Adams sampai Van Halen.
