Nominasi People's Choice Awards, Jungkook BTS Masuk 4 Kategori

People's Choice Awards 2024 adalah penghargaan yang ke-49, sejak digelar pertama kali pada tahun 1975. Penghargaan ini yang mencakup berbagai bidang seperti film, TV dan musik. Pemenangnya diperoleh melalui voting yang akan diumumkan di Santa Monica, Amerika, 18 Februari 2024.

Jungkook BTS yang tengah menjalani wajib militer (wamil) bersama Jimin, RM, dan V itu, dinominasikan untuk empat kategori People's Choice Awards 2024. Antara lain Male Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year, New Artist of The Year, dan Collaboration Song of The Year.

Anggota termuda BTS itu menjadi satu-satunya penyanyi laki-laki yang dinominasikan untuk penghargaan Pop Artist of the Year tahun ini. Dia akan bersaing dengan Bille Eilish, Doja Car, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae, dan Taylor Swift.

Jungkook BTS mendapat nominasi berkat single solonya Seven feat Latto yang dirilis pada Juli 2023. Lagu itu juga membawanya ke dalam nominasi Collaboration Song of The Year tahun ini. Jungkook BTS pernah memenangkan kategori tersebut di People's Choice Awards 2022. Lewat kolaborasinya dengan Charlie Puth dalam lagu Left and Right feat Jungkook of BTS.

Nominasi tahun ini, Jungkook BTS akan bersaing dengan Bad Bunny, Drake, Jack Harlow, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, dan The Weeknd dalam kategori Male Artist of The Year.

Sedangkan dalam kategori New Artist of The Year, Jungkook BTS akan bersaing dengan Coi Leary, Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Noah Kahan, Peso Pluma, PinkPantheress, dan Stephen Sanchez.

Selain Jungkook BTS, idol K-Pop lainnya yakni Stray Kids dan TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) juga dinominasikan untuk kategori Group/Duo of The Year. Nominasi lainnya termasuk Dan + Shay, Fuerza Regida, Grupo Frontera, Jonas Brothers, Old Dominion, dan Paramore.
