Klub EPL Berduyun Ikut Berduka Kerusuhan Kanjuruhan
Tim-tim sepakbola Eropa khususnya Liga Inggris berduyun-duyun mengucapkan belasungkawa terkait kerusuhan yang terjadi di Stadion Kanjuruhan, Malang. Kericuhan terjadi usai laga Arema FC vs Persebaya Surabaya.
Dalam kejadian itu, saat ini tercatat ada 174 korban meninggal dunia. Mereka terkena efek dari Gas Air Mata yang ditembakkan oleh pihak kepolisian. Kepanikan membuat mereka lari ke pintu keluar. Namun karena berdesakan, terhimpit, dan susah bernafas, para fans tak sedikit yang meregang nyawa.
Karena hal itu, untuk menghormati para fans Arema, klub-klub EPL memposting ucapan mereka di media sosial masing-masing. Sebagai kolega sepakbola, secara moril klub Eropa berkewajiban memberikan penghormatan dan ucapan belasungkawa. Tercatat saat ini sudah ada sembilan klub EPL yang memposting ucapan tersebut. Kebanyakan merupakan klub besar yang memiliki basis fans di Indonesia.
Ada Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Everton, Leeds United, Manchester City, Arsenal, dan Tottenham Hotspurs. Selain sembilan klub itu, induk sepakbola Inggris FA dan operator Premier League juga turut mengucapkan duka cita.
