Daftar Nominasi Piala Oscar 2022
Panitia Piala Oscar 2022 sudah merilis nominasi ajang penghargaan bergengsi insan perfilman dunia ini. Pembacaan nominasi Oscar 2022 dipandu oleh Leslie Jordan dan Tracee Ellis Ross. Academy Awards ke-94 atau Oscar 2022 akan diselenggarakan pada 27 Maret di Dolby Theatre waktu AS.
Artis Kristen Stewart mendapatkan nominasi pertamanya untuk Piala Oscar. Ia dinominasikan sebagai Best Actress di ajang Piala Oscar 2022 berkat perannya sebagai Diana Spencer dalam film Spencer.
Kristen Stewart bersanding dengan empat aktris lainnya untuk nominasi tersebut, yaitu Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter), Penélope Cruz (Parallel Mothers), dan Nicole Kidman (Being the Ricardos).
Sementara itu, film Spencer yang membawa Kristen Stewart meraih nominasi Oscar pertamanya ini bercerita tentang kandasnya pernikahan Putri Diana dengan Pangeran Charles yang terjadi pada era 1990-an.
Kala itu, dunia dibuat heboh dengan rumor perselingkuhan antara Pangeran Charles dan Camilla Parker, yakni perempuan yang kini menjadi istrinya. Putri Diana, yang sedang menghabiskan liburan Natal bersama keluarga kerajaan di perkebunan Sandringham di Norfolk, akhirnya memutuskan untuk meninggalkan rumah tangganya dengan Pangeran Charles. Film ini rencananya akan dirilis secara luas tahun ini, bertepatan dengan peringatan 25 tahun kematian Putri Diana.
Sementara itu, beberapa film mendominasi daftar nominasi Piala Oscar seperti Belfast, The Power of the Dog, Drive My Car, Licorice Pizza, dan West Side Story. Film-film tersebut selain masuk nominasi film terbaik, mereka juga masuk nominasi penyutradaraan terbaik.
Drive My Car film arahan sutradara Ryusuke Hamaguchi masuk nominasi Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, serta Best International Feature Film. The Power of the Dog juga turut menguasai nominasi dengan masuk kategori lainnya, seperti Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, dan Best Cinematography.
Kemudian, Spider-Man: No Way Home yang memecahkan rekor sebagai film terlaris keenam sepanjang masa ini juga masuk nominasi Oscar 2022 dalam kategori Best Visual Effects. Dalam kategori itu, Spider-Man: No Way Home bersaing dengan Dune, Free Guy, No Time to Die, dan Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
