Daftar Nominasi Billboard Music Awards 2022
Billboard Music Awards 2022 mengumumkan nominasi musisi terbaik yang terbagi dalam beberapa kategori. Selain itu, lima kategori baru diperkenalkan yakni Top Billboard Global 200 Artist, Top Billboard Global excl US Artist, Top Billboard Global 200 Song, dan Top Billboard Global excl US Song. Ed Sheeran adalah nominasi di keempat kategori baru itu.
The Weeknd menjadi musisi terbanyak yang dinominasikan dalam ajang penghargaan musik tersebut dengan mengantongi 17 kategori. Beberapa nominasi bergengsi yang dinominasikan untuk The Weeknd, seperti Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist. Dalam kategori Top Artist, ia berhadapan dengan Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, dan Taylor Swift.
Setelah gagal di Grammy Awards di Los Angeles, Amerika, beberapa waktu lalu, BTS berhasil dinominasikan untuk tujuh kategori di Billboard Music Awards 2022. Idol group asal Korea Selatan itu masuk nominasi di antaranya Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, hingga Top Selling Song berkat lagu Butter dan Permission to Dance.
BTS juga mendapat nominasi dalam kategori baru, yaitu Top Billboard Global Artist (Excluding U.S.) dan Top Billboard Global Song (Excluding U.S.). RM cs juga berhasil masuk nominasi Top Rock Song dengan My Universe, lagu kolaborasi mereka bersama Coldplay.
Ini merupakan nominasi terbanyak yang pernah dicapai grup atau duo mana pun. Untuk tahun keempat berturut-turut, BTS dinominasikan untuk penghargaan Top Duo/Group, yang mereka menangkan pada 2019 dan 2021.
Billboard Music Awards 2022 akan disiarkan langsung dari Las Vegas, pada 15 Mei 2022 malam waktu setempat.
