2.500 Tamu Piala Oscar Wajib Bawa Bukti Vaksin dan PCR Negatif
Piala Oscar 2022 atau Academy Awards ke-94 akan mengundang 2.500 nominator dan tamu ke Dolby Theatre, yang biasanya menampung lebih dari 3.300 orang. Mereka duduk di bagian orkestra dan partner tidak diwajibkan memakai masker. Namun, mereka yang duduk di mezzanine wajib mengenakan masker karena jarak duduk yang berdekatan.
Selain itu, bukti vaksinasi menjadi salah satu persyaratan untuk masuk Dolby Theatre, pada 27 Maret mendatang. Namun, persyaratan tersebut tidak berlaku kepada semua orang. Seperti diberitakan Variety, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) selaku panitia mewajibkan semua orang yang masuk nominasi (nomine) dan tamu undangan menunjukkan bukti vaksinasi dan hasil tes PCR negatif Covid-19 setidaknya dua kali.
Namun, peraturan tersebut tidak berlaku bagi artis yang akan membacakan pemenang Oscar. Pihak-pihak yang tampil di atas panggung juga tidak diwajibkan menyerahkan bukti vaksin dan tes negatif Covid-19.
Berdasarkan sumber, kebijakan itu dibuat di bawah perjanjian antara Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers bersama serikat pekerja. Perjanjian itu memberikan rumah produksi opsi untuk mengamanatkan vaksinasi Covid-19 bagi para kru yang bekerja paling dekat atau kontak dekat dengan para aktor. Namun, hal itu bukan menjadi keharusan.
Ketika kasus Covid-19 menurun di wilayah Los Angeles, perusahaan dan acara besar lainnya juga melonggarkan kebijakan Covid-19 mereka, seperti taman hiburan Disney tidak lagi mewajibkan penggunaan masker bagi tamu yang divaksinasi penuh. Kemudian, Coachella dan Stagecoach mengumumkan tidak akan meminta bukti vaksinasi atau pengujian Covid-19 bagi para peserta dan penonton festival musik tahunan tersebut.
Daftar Nominasi Piala Oscar 2022
Beberapa film menguasai daftar nominasi Piala Oscar 2022, seperti Belfast, The Power of the Dog, Drive My Car, Licorice Pizza, dan West Side Story. Film-film tersebut telah diumumkan oleh Leslie Jordan dan Tracee Ellis Ross, pada 8 Februari lalu waktu Indonesia.
Film Drive My Car arahan sutradara Ryusuke Hamaguchi masuk nominasi Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, serta Best International Feature Film. The Power of the Dog juga turut menguasai nominasi dengan masuk kategori lainnya, seperti Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, dan Best Cinematography.
Spider-Man: No Way Home yang memecahkan rekor sebagai film terlaris keenam sepanjang masa ini juga masuk nominasi Oscar 2022 dalam kategori Best Visual Effects. Dalam kategori itu, Spider-Man: No Way Home bersaing dengan Dune, Free Guy, No Time to Die, dan Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
